Are you reliable, organised and looking for flexible, occasional work that can fit around your other commitments?

Professional Training Solutions (PTS) is looking for friendly and dependable Exam Invigilators to join our team and help us provide a calm, professional and well-organised examination experience for our learners.

This flexible role could be ideal if you are retired or semi-retired, work part-time, have previous experience in education or administration, or simply have some availability and would like occasional paid work.

You don't need previous invigilation experience – full training will be provided. What matters most to us is that you are reliable, professional, confident following instructions and able to put learners at ease while maintaining examination conditions.

What will you be doing?

As an Exam Invigilator, you'll help ensure examinations and assessments run smoothly, securely and fairly. Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing examination rooms and materials before candidates arrive.

• Welcoming candidates and checking identification where required.

• Explaining and maintaining examination conditions.

• Supervising candidates throughout their assessment.

• Responding appropriately to candidate queries and reporting any issues or irregularities.

• Collecting and securely returning examination materials.

• Completing simple attendance and incident records where necessary.

• Following awarding-body and PTS procedures to maintain the integrity and confidentiality of assessments.

What are we looking for?

You don't need to be a teacher or have worked in education before. We are particularly interested in people who are:

• Dependable and punctual – if you agree to attend a session, we need to know we can rely on you.

• Calm, approachable and professional.

• Organised and attentive to detail.

• Comfortable following clear procedures and instructions.

• Confident communicating with learners from a variety of backgrounds.

• Able to work independently as well as alongside our friendly PTS team.

Previous experience of invigilation, education, administration or working in a regulated environment would be helpful, but it is not essential.
